I used to be obsessed with the film 'The Green Mile' and especially with the character of Wild Bill Wharton played by Sam Rockwell.

I fell for him so so bad, I even wrote a poem about him a couple years back when I was 16. It will definately spoil a few small things about Wild Bill from the movie including the massive twist at the end if you've not seen it so just to warn you, but here it is:
I met you first in a movie, and although it's all not real
I learnt to love you in a way - you offered sex appeal
You raped and killed two young girls out of sheer cruelty
For this you deserved to fry in the chair, even if you are a beauty
You always caused trouble down there on E block
Nothing would stand in your way, you didn't know when to stop
You spat in a guard's face, then laughed as he wiped it off
You peed on another and moon pie you did scoff
After the pie was made into a liquid-like paste
You stood at the bars and spat in Brutal's face
You laughed like a child on April Fool's Day
But your laughter was silenced as you were taken away
Kicking and screaming as you were dragged along the floor
Down to the restraint room you stayed for an hour or more
Later in the day someone caught your eye
Little Percy Wetmore in his smart suit and tie
You grabbed him through the bars and whispered in his ear
Little Percy Wetmore, there's nothing to fear
Then you let go and smiled once again
That crafty little smile, when will it end??
But Percy's not laughing, in that awkward stance
He realised just then, he'd pissed his pants
Del had a ball while laughing at him
But Percy was mad, he looked very grim
A threat he did make too "keep on laughin'"
But Del didn't care he was the last man standing
So Percy did go to get some dry clothes
That whole peeing thing was really quite gross
The next day came, Del's death wasn't very far
The bad execution of Eduard Delacroix
We'll skip all of that - it isn't too good to read
Let's just say he's dead and that's the end of that scene
But Wharton was charged and decided to sing
About his bad death and the smell it did bring
Next day came, John Coffey's big moment
Wharton was drugged with cola and solvent
Then he passed out 'til Coffey came past
He bolted to the door, he was ever so fast
He grabbed his arm, asked him where he was going
His hand was removed then he went back to dreaming
Coffey came back, the miracle was done
Then he grabbed Percy, who stood there stunned
Percy reacted and walked up the mile
Inside his cell, Wharton did smile
Percy grabbed his gun then shot him six times
Wharton was dead; it's the end of the line
His laugher will never haunt this place again
So I bid you farewell as this is the end
Anyhow, I started thinking about him again because of a genius quote I saw I had of him on a movie message board. Yes, anyway, here's some Wild Bill goodness in one of his best, if not THE best scene that he's in, he's just so funny!
If you've not seen the movie or read the book, I'm serious, go get it! The book in my opinion is better than the movie but both are really good! It's funny in some bits and brutal or sad in other bits, it's a lovely little mix! Detail is also much better in the book and Stephen King writes it.
