What I'd like to know is why the fuck don't people take arachnophobia seriously? Not typing that word again...

Seriously, I am fucking shit scared of spiders dependant on size and vicinity but I just saw one crawl across my floor maybe a couple feet away? No one gives a shit. Oh, just because it's a normal phobia I don't get scared a much? Honestly, jesus christ...

I feel a bit hopeless right now and I'm on edge literally, on the bed anyway cause I wanna see if it crawls out again so I can run.

I keep looking to see if it's there....

I hate hate HATE what I see spiders and it really....grr! I think no matter how many times I say I'm scared, I won't get taken 100% seriously.

I don't waanna be overdramatic so I don't even know what to say but I am so upset I may not even sleep in this room tonight...

Mum doesn't care, I've hears her laugh about it before and she refused to get the spider.

I fucking hate this.

EDIT: 1:30am - I feel alright now but I've still not left the room. ^_^

if this is because of earlier, im sorry, and i do take you seriously however my stupid msn habit of writing 'haha' before and after pretty much every single word I type may have led you to believe otherwise.

I know how you feel, theres a huge one that I keep seeing every few days bewtween my bed and night table. I've tried to catch it but it's too fast (which is really horrible and makes it worse because speed and spiders don't mix). I've slept on the couch before becuse of spiders so it doesn't seem overdramatic to me lol

  Yeah I've slept of the sofa/the floor in the living room because of them before. Not doing so tonight which is rare because I think I'm getting better and it wasn't massive. I still hesitate to go past where it went though and it's been like 8 hours!!
  
  I refuse to shut the door though incase it's still here, I'd rather it go out of my roonm.

If you have a common phobia it doesn't make it any less of a phobia.
I'm scared of heights, and for some reason people think that because so many people are terribly afraid of spiders, or heights, or whatever, it means they are allowed to laugh at whoever is scared.
Any one who laughs at a scared person is horrible.

One bit me a while back and I've been afraid of them since then.
Out here they're all over the place, I have no idea what most of them are though. I think there are some banana spiders, and outside along the wall near the door there are 5(?) that are about 4 inches long, I think they're argiopes or something like those. Last year in the fall I saw one on the gate that was almost as big as my hand...
Can't wait to move out of this place.

  Where do you live again? If it's in Aus then I'm not surprised. I am never setting foot in that country, no matter what anyone says to pursuade me that there aren't spiders everywhere, you can never be too careful...

    About as big as my hand, if you're measuring from the tip of the front leg to back, didn't think they got that big around here actually...
    I live outside of a small town in the middle of nowhere in Texas... Not my favorite place, I miss the city... Had to move out here because of this job, not even my job but you know how it is.
    The big ones usually just stay outside though, I've only seen one semi big one inside the rest have been small.

Yep, Spiders are the badness. Had one land on my shoulder after I got out of the shower once. I have never screamed so loud or so long.
