I'm not saying it's like this for all people that are into the same sex but a lot of them either act very effeminately is they're men and very masculine if they're female. I find that more men act feminine than women act masculine. And I've just realised, is it because typically, there are more 'straight' people than gay people so the gay people sort of take on characteristics of the opposite sex subconsciously? Like, for example you see a woman being all feminine and stuff to their boyfriend so people think 'ah, that's nice....so people with boyfriends act like that, then' not in an actual thought process, but sort of picking up on it without realising.
I don't see the point in gay people being extremely effeminate or masculine or whatever though...I don't really understand it sometimes. True, we're all different and have different personalities but most men who are really feminine are interested in guys, that's not a stereotype, it's really true!
Only bringing this up cause this new guy at work, people mentioned he was rather 'dandy' and such and I found out he was gay today. It's like...not in an accusing way, but it's like some people are playing up their gay. Not always on purpose but it's still rather evident.
I personally find it a bit of a relief if I find out someone's gay but act like their gender.
Please don't take this the wrong way and assume that I'm saying "no gay people should act like the opposite sex cause it's silly", it's just a bit nice when you see people that aren't like that all the time just because they're gay.
Interesting point to view from.
