Yesterday I was in London for IAMX and Sohodolls & Kindle at IAMX's aftershow party and they as well as the whole night were really good! I want to go through basically the whole night from 1pm to the early hours of today. I can tell that this is gonna be long...

Chicks On Ecstasy...Without Actual Ecstasy
Okay so I woke up at something past 11am at my friend's house in North London cause we all had a little gathering at her house the night before and I was the only one that stayed over cause it was easier to get to the gig as it was in London and I don't live there. :p
She left at 12:30 to go on holiday so I had the flat to myself for like an hour and a half before I decided to leave too. I spent that time watching Sky and taking pictures of me and my outfit cause I really liked it.

Turns out a lot of other people liked too, but that's for a bit later!
I also took a picture of a contest question on Kerrang cause it was a painfully easy question for me as someone whose favourite band is Mindless Self Indulgence.

Okay so I Ieft her flat after I was satisfied with how I looked and got on the tube to Camden to meet a mate so we could both go to Tottenham Court Road which was the closest tube station to where the gig was - the Astoria 2. Problem was, it didn't move for like 15 mins so I was like wtf and just got the bus with a bunch of others from the same tube.
Got to Camden then went to Tottenham Court Road where it was crowded as hell since like we left Camden and seemed to get worse down Oxford St way. We met my other friends that were queuing by the door at quarter past 3 and waited with them.
Me and Allanah (who I met at Tottenham Court Road) were slightly outraged by the posters outside the venue about the afterparty cause they didn't have Kindle on them, when he was playing there too! We wrote 'Kindle' on the posters and stuck a Kindle leaflet on the posters.
A girl that regularly reads this blog came up to me cause she was waiting at the door too and said she really liked my blog and things and how she's just saying hi, which I thought was the actual cutest thing! She's known as TheAlternative on here and she's actually lovely. ^-^
Anyway, Allanah and I handed out some leaflets to people in the queue, encouraging them to come to the afterparty to see Kindle, so that was cool. Mixed reactions as always, some people refused to take one, some did for the sake of it, and some were genuinly interested.
We got in at something past 6 for IAMX and saw a band before them called The Modern and they were actually really good!! I wanted to hear more of them and shall be checking them out after I do this, I approved!
IAMX came on and were clearly awesome as always. I will never tire of Chris' voice and stage presence... The crowd went mental though, I know that's not that unusual but I don't think I've ever seen it that extreme; they loved it! Was annoying for me though cause I had a pretty big shoulder bag with me and I kept having to hold it. Baring in mind IAMX were on for like an hour, my arms hurt a bit...
And oh yeah, I actually saw Chris Corner in person when he came out afterwards and my mates talked to him! It was strangely bizarre to have Chris Corner there cause I always thought he went straight for the van and was like never seen afterwards!! I didn't say anything cause I didn't know what to say so I just watched them talk to him and thought, "He has a nice voice."
We then went to Sin soon after and found out Kindle was on at 1, not midnight, and Sohodolls were now on at midnight instead. We hung about and I saw a guy I recognised off last.fm and myspace that also liked Kindle so we said hi quickly. He has a nice face in person.
Then we saw a band before Sohodolls and Kindle who were alright, don't remember or care who they were called but the woman singing had a good dress ('woman' sounds too old nowadays I swear... only me?).
After that, a couple of Sohodolls came onstage to set up, including Weston Doll who some women (old...ish this time) tried to touch but he kept flinching away, I found it cute of him and after the like 2nd time of them trying, I wanted to tell them to leave him alone. Was funny when they tried to get his attention and he totally ignored them though.
Oh yeah, I saw someone in the audience that was rather attractive-looking/Kurt Cobainy who I kind of recognised and he thought he knew me from somewhere too but....we couldn't figure out where cause apparently I didn't ever tell him about Kindle online; that's usually how I meet random people these days.
Anyway...
Spotted and talked to Kindle for a bit before Sohodolls were on and apparently the organisation of everything was going shitty and it was quite evident when Sohodolls took about 45 mins to set up cause of technical difficulties and even in their set, it played up and they were clearly getting annoyed.
Maya had a mini tantrum in the middle of it, Weston Doll's keyboards took ages to work and Toni didn't seem to want to sing the background bits or play guitar solos. I felt a bit sorry for them but they were still good because they're a really good band! It made the night a bit more entertaining if anything but it does suck that it was their last 2008 gig in England and so they obviously wanted it to be amazing.
Maya looked a bit drunk and stuff but I thought it was just her being her!

Anyway, Kindle took a while to set up too but nothing too outrageously long like with Sohodolls! I told several people to come in and see him cause some were in the other room, not realising that he was even on. Sucks that they over-ran by so much though cause he ended up being on at about quarter to three, which was so much later than I told people/what was on the band listings thing. The crowd got considerably bigger after he started playing, which made me happier that more people got to see him.

Another guy from last.fm who I introduced to Kindle via. myspace said he was the best of the night and was so glad I told him about him!! Bonus points for me? Yussssss.
I got told that Kindle would play more if people demanded it so I told my mates to demand for an encore and he managed to get 2 encores!! I am proud... =']
Oh and someone doing a fashion photography course for uni or something asked to take a pic of me cause she thought my outfit was amazing, how cool is that??
After, talked to him for a bit and then got to speak to Roi Robertson from Mechanical Cabaret, who also DJd in-between bands actually!

They're a band I've mentioned here before when I was recommending bands and he's the main person/creator. I think I blogged about them after the gig I first saw them at when they supported Sohodolls and finding him attractive on here before.
I told him I really liked Mechanical Cabaret and stuff and he thanked me and said I looked gorgeous, I was so happy after that!! Specially as I have a liiiiiittle crush on him.
I also asked if he was alone and he asked me in what way, then I quickly went, "Like, alone at the table...tonight...like, I don't want to intrude on anything!" cause I wasn't asking if he was single! :o I just was sort of hovering over the seat and didn't wanna sit at the table if he was with other people, it'd be weird.
He's the only person I admit to actually having fangirled after recently, not to his face though, just looking at him lots and getting too excited when he's near then telling my mates to look at him. I have no idea why it's him, maybe it was the hair but he had a bit of a haircut now....however, after that gorgeous comment, I realised I do still like him, rather!
I sat down after with Allanah and the other people she came with and got all excited then went to Volante who was sitting on another chair across the room and got happy, then Roi started staring at me with a smile! I didn't want to look back cause I don't like awkwardness but I was very flattered anyways.
Afterwards, me and my mates went for a little dance in the other room, I got very excited when they played Marilyn Manson's The Beautiful People and Guns N Roses' Sweet Child O Mine! We went out soon after and I had another chat with Kindle (who told me him DJing was a rumour that he didn't know got started!) outside then me and Volante went back to her place after I braved the cold in my outfit; main coldness attracter came from the fact I was only wearing shorts and tights on my legs....
It was all worth it and I'd do it again right now! If my feet didn't hurt a bit and I wasn't hungry...

That sounds so great

I wish i lived in england sometimes
And that i was over 18.
*is jealous*
