Note: I say 'era' a lot in this post....
This is what the cover of the latest issue of Kerrang! looks like:
It's the first issue of Kerrang! I've bought in a long while as I have been into Manson for a good 6 years now, I just stopped liking him as much when I was 16 but still very much liked his personality and music. I was into him around the Kurt Cobain obsession era and when I was still building up my character as a teen to what I am now. I went through some obsessive phases with various things and, I'll be brutally honest, acted like an idiot for most of that time, like a vast majority of young teens do now with their obsessions and 'wannabe' attributes.
I never buy magazines as I'd just throw them away as soon as I've read what I wanted so I didn't see the point and just occasionally read a few bits in the store, put it down and left. However, when I walked past a very feminine-looking Manson, the sole reason I picked it up was because I genuinly thought it was the female singer from a new band. I was obviously proven wrong, disregarding his female stage name. You might be like 'but it says MARILYN MANSON is huge bold letters'...yes, but that was hidden by another magazine so I just saw his face.
I wasn't even planning on buying it then, but I saw there was an interview with Marilyn Manson and saw the quote 'I know it looks like a serial killer lives here', so bought it. That and it only cost £2.20 when I was sure it was gonna be in the £3 range. Pennies matter, kids.
Anyway, I am seriously in awe at how good he looks, he hasn't looked this good for a very long while [no offense to the self-proclaimed antichrist superstar], not since the Beautiful People era. I've always loved Manson with long hair cause it suits his face as it's long, as is his nose so when he cut his hair and shaved off one side of it, I was miffed for a bit then eventually grew to love it; but I love this look more.
The most recent time I've thought he looks good aside from said era was when this picture was taken, the Eat Me Drink Me era, which was only last year or so:
I also thought the new look made him look a lot younger, only me? Compare both pictures and I think he looks a good 4 or 5 years younger. He turned 40 in January this year, looks very good for 40 I think! He looks very similar to how he did in the Spooky Kids era I think, minus lip-ring, metal lunchbox and stripy socks, and he was in his early 20's/late teens then:
The main reason I got excited about this is because after 4 hours of owning the magazine, I didn't realise the blatant difference in his look. It's blatant as hell but it's hard to notice because people are so used to seeing him differently. I won't say what it is so people can have fun and guess what's different about current Manson. Edit: Oh and there's ANOTHER change too, so two new changes! And both are nothing to do with his make-up.
Apparently he also has a new album...either I'm slow on the uptake or it's still very new, cause I haven't heard any Manson news since he got together with that Evan girl from the Eat Me Drink Me era and that was ages ago, they aren't even together anymore apparently!
Anyway yeah, hearing about Marilyn Manson again and seeing his new look has reawakened my 'rocker' personality and makes me want to read his autobiography again [The Long Hard Road out of Hell], which is astounding by the way, and entertaining as hell! One of my favourite books! It's also reawakened my crush on him as I've always had a soft spot for him... 
I'd love to hear new tracks and to see what he does from now onwards, so Marilyn Manson...hats off to you, sir. Even though I say he's 'toned himself down', I very much doubt his personality has deviated much from what it's always been.
