...Meet and have a proper conversation with Marilyn Manson.

I'd like to, really like to ask him things. Things I couldn't ask him like this - where the closest I am to him is viewing a .jpg photo of him from the other side of my laptop screen.

I'd want to 'get deep' with him: discuss religion and other influences he has that maybe not so many people know about. Things not as blatant as religion and the media.

I wouldn't want anyone else there, just a one-on-one thing with no interruptions or words from a nameless character holding the title of manager that could deviate the conversation from its original path.

I wouldn't want to call myself a Marilyn Manson fan if we had this conversation, just an admirer of his work; 'fan' sounds a bit too 'fanatic'. I could be a fan at one of his gigs, I wouldn't mind going crazy with all of the other Manson fans, the moshers, the girl in a Manson tee too big for her with the caption 'God of Fuck' on the front or the guy with way too much hair and a beard, silently appreciating the music without going too crazy. That's a 'fan' atmosphere, a talk is not.

I want an intelligent conversation, I don't care what his favourite colour is or if he has any pets. I care about what drives him to be what he is, how he's managed to do it for about two decades without losing touch of what he's about and what goes through his head when he's playing a show.

Marilyn Manson is such a complex and intelligent man, he's intriguing, entertaining and meaningful. His lyrics hold within them a mixture of thoughts and expression. Religion. Love. Media. Society. Death.

So, Mr Manson, speaketh your words.

If only...
